Trio Nabbed After Search Of Long Island Home Results In Seizure Of Drugs, Weapons Seized
Police arrested three residents of a Long Island home following a warrant search in which they seized drugs and weapons.
The warrant was executed around 6 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at a home at 51 Higgins St., in North Babylon, Suffolk County Police said.
During the search, police said a sizable quantity of crack, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin were seized. Detectives also seized two illegal 9 mm handguns and more than $36,000 in cash.
Arrested included Levar Jackson, 41, Rhamel Stanford, 34, and Jaclyn Misuraca, all of North Babylon.

A 21-year-old driver with an active warrant for his arrest ran over an officer's foot, collided with a Jeep, then crashed his car into Hyde Park Town Hall, and injured his passenger as he fled from a traffic stop, police said.

A repeat sex-offender who ran away to Mexico with his girlfriend and three children has been captured.
Lester B. Joy, 40, formerly of Waterbury, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, Bridgeport, on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to failing to register as a sex offender, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Connecticut.

A couple from West Virginia had a handgun with a high-capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets when they were stopped in Morris County, authorities said.
Brian Moats, 29, and Alexis King, 38 — both of Morgantown, West Virginia — were stopped on West Mill Road in Washington Township around 1 a.m. on Sept. 30, Lt. Mark Niemynski said.
Moats, the passenger, initially gave police a fake name during questioning, prompting a search of the vehicle, which turned up a handgun with a high-capacity magazine, hollow-point bullets, a THC cartridge and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

Long Island Parolee Who Stole From 13 Unlocked Vehicles Arrested, Police Say
A Long Island man who stole items from 13 different vehicles in three towns within a month was apprehended and charged, according to police.
Patrick Fontaine, of Yaphank, 38, reportedly began his string of car larcenies on Monday, Aug. 30, Suffolk County Police said.
Among items that he stole were glasses, electronics, money and identification. He was charged with 13 counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
