Morris Plains Motorcyclist, 36, Killed In Labor Day Crash
A 36-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Sussex County Labor Day crash, police said.
On Monday, Sept. 1, around 1:32 p.m., troopers responded to County Road 521 near milepost 38.2, New Jersey State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino said.
Efrain AlvaradoMaradiaga, 36, was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle south on County Road 521 when the motorcycle left the roadway to the left, struck a tree and overturned, Postorino said.
AlvaradoMaradiaga died as a result of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, police said.

A married couple died in a Labor Day crash when their vehicle overturned into a New Jersey lake after colliding with a pickup truck, authorities said.
A 21-year-old Tabernacle man was heading south on Route 206 in a Ford F350 when it collided with a Toyota heading west and driven by John E. Hawley, 66, of Marlton, just before 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, New Jersey State Police Tpr. II Christopher Postorino said.

A Somerset man was seriously injured in a crash involving a disabled car on I-287 early Sunday, Aug. 31, New Jersey State Police said.
Troopers responded at 3:41 a.m. to the southbound lanes near milepost 34.5 in Morris Township, according to Sgt. Charles Marchan.
A preliminary investigation found that a Toyota passenger car driven by a 49-year-old Somerset man left the roadway to the right, struck an arrow board, re-entered traffic, and became disabled, Marchan said.
