Undercover Detective Nabs 14 'Johns' In PA Prostitution Ring
An online ad and a local hotel helped lay a thirst trap for police to capture 14 so-called "Johns" who participated in a sex trafficking ring in Pennsylvania. The Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Force, launched on January 11, but in less than 2 months it has successfully completed it's operation, Lancaster County media specialist Sean McBryan says in a statement released on Thursday, Mar. 24. A central Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty to felony charges after he burned rubbish to "scare or intimidate Mexican immigrants" out of their home, according to a release by the Lancaster County district attorney's office. Officials have identified the man killed in a residential fire in Mount Joy over the weekend. Crews were called to the fire in the block 30 North Jacob Street on Sunday around 9 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported. A fire at a Mount Joy apartment claimed the life of one area resident, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications for emergency dispatch. A New York man guilt of rape has been sentence to serve more than a decade in a Pennsylvania Correctional Institution, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. Manheim PD Seek Witnesses Of Crash That Killed Woman, 29
A woman died following a head on collision -- and Manheim Township police are searching for anyone who may have witnessed it. A 29-year-old woman from Mount Joy, was traveling eastbound on New Holland Pike by the intersection of Landis Valley Road when she veered into the oncoming lane, striking an on-coming vehicle head-on April 23 around 8 p.m., authorities said.
