Friends are mourning the loss of a 53-year-old mother and wife who died in a motorcycle crash last weekend. Andrea Houlihan, 53, of Sayreville, was a passenger on her husband's Harley Davidson when a vehicle suddenly changed lanes on Route 9 in Old Bridge, bringing traffic to an abrupt halt on Sunday, Aug. 13, as previously reported by Daily Voice. A motorcyclist lost control of his bike and fatally crashed after driving over "a series of potholes," on Bristol Pike, authorities say. It happened in Falls Township, Levittown on Saturday, Aug. 12 around 10:30 a.m., police said in a release. A young man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a highway in the region. The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in Saratoga County, on Route 70 in the Town of Stillwater. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyler Desnoyers was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Route 70 when he lost control and struck a westbound car. Central Mass Man Nearly Killed In Worcester Motorcycle Wreck
A 24-year-old Worcester County man was nearly killed last week after he crashed his motorcycle in Worcetser, authorities said. The 24-year-old Millbury man wrecked on Blithewood Avenue near Oakwood Lane just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, Worcester police. Investigators believe he lost control of the bike, hit the curb, and then careened into two poles. A nurse happened to be nearby and gave him life-saving help until paramedics arrived. They rushed him to an area hospital, where he is being treated for serious life-threatening injuries.

A driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy roadway in the region. The Rensselaer County incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, in Brunswick on Hoosick Road, according to State Police.
