A 57-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash on Route 9W in Highland. Town of Lloyd Police said the crash took place around 8 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, on Route 9W near the intersection of Argent Drive in Highland, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso. Man Hospitalized, Cat Killed In Town Of Poughkeepsie Apartment Fire
One person was hospitalized, and a cat was killed when a fire broke out in a basement apartment in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Crews from the Arlington Fire District were dispatched to a Seitz Terrace home at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, where there was a report of smoke coming from the structure. Fire officials said that firefighters were at the scene within minutes and made entry into the home that was filled with smoke. The residence was searched and found to be unoccupied. The pilot of a 1989 Bell 222A helicopter that crashed in the area said the chopper experienced an engine failure causing the crash and for the helicopter to overturn. The crash took place around 12:38 p.m., Saturday, March 30, near 77 Youngblood Road in Bullville, just west of I-87 in the Town of Crawford in Orange County. The six onboard, five passengers, who were celebrating a birthday, and the pilot, suffered minor injuries, Crawford Police said. The City of Middletown Police Department has identified a woman found dead on the floor of an apartment they had been trying to gain entry into after receiving reports of a horrible smell coming from within. Serious I-84 Crash In Fishkill Prompts Police Warning To Motorists
Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a motor-vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon on I-84 in Dutchess County that prompted a warning to motorists by state police. There were no serious injuries in the crash in East Fishkill, police said. "Please drive carefully, and if you miss your exit, do not back up," police said.
