An e-bike rider was killed in a crash with a pickup truck at a Medford intersection on Friday morning, Sept. 12, Suffolk County Police announced. Gilberto Guilbe, 35, of Far Rockaway, was operating an e-bike eastbound on Woodside Avenue when he collided with a northbound 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Route 112 at 6:17 a.m., police said in a release. A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed after losing control and crashing on Long Island, authorities said. Airton Santos-Alexandre, of Medford, was riding a 2015 Suzuki GSX-R750 on southbound Nicolls Road in Stony Brook when he lost control and struck a guardrail around 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, according to a release from the Suffolk County Police Department.
