A 57-year-old Englishtown man was killed after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a home, starting a fire on the morning of Tuesday, April 1 in Manalapan, authorities said. At 5:02 a.m., the car struck a home on Craig Road near Symmes Drive, and the residence proceeded to catch on fire, Manalapan police said. A vehicle crashed into a home, causing it to be set ablaze on the morning of Tuesday, April 1 in Manalapan, authorities said. At 5:02 a.m., a car crashed into a home on Craig Road near Symmes Drive, and the home then caught on fire, Manalapan police said. The driver of the vehicle was removed by passing motorists, and was transported to an area hospital, police said. A person inside the house was safely removed, police said, and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

A 34-year-old New Jersey man is facing charges after authorities say he live-streamed pre-pubescent child porn and masturbated on a virtual telehealth waiting room multiple times. Jason Schain, of Manalapan, live-streamed similar content into the virtual waiting room for the Old Bridge health care provider at least seven times between October 2024 and January 2025, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
