Baseball Bat Attack At VA Congressman's Office Sends Staffers To Hospital, Suspect Captured
A 49-year-old man has been charged with assaulting two members of Virginia Congressman Gerry Connolly's staff with a metal bat, sending them to the hospital Monday, May 15, authorities said.
Xuan Kha Tran Pham of Fairfax, entered the Congressman's office at 10680 Main St., Monday, May 15 around 10:50 a.m., and began assaulting the employees, according to the US Capitol Police.
The employees were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Connolly, who was not in the office at the time, released the following statement:

A 20-year-old woman driving with a suspended license fled a crash scene after brutally beat an 18-year-old driver — but returned soon after and was promptly arrested, authorities in Northern Virginia said.

Stabbing Suspect Apprehended After Attacking Family Member During Dispute In Virginia
A stabbing suspect was arrested after attacking a family member during a dispute in Virginia, authorities said.
Officers were called to a home on the 4100 block of La Maurice Lp. in Dumfries around 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Cops learned that Marquis Davon Bostic, 29, repeatedly stabbed a 55-year-old family member during an argument, they said.
The pair eventually separated, and the police were called.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where they are expected to survive, authorities said.

Woman Narrowly Escapes Rape Attack Outside Chantilly Library: Report
A Virginia woman had a scary experience in Chantilly, after she was attacked and almost raped outside a library, according to NBC4 Washington.
On Sept. 26, the victim was outside Chantilly Regional Library on Stringfellow Road, when a man stole her jewelry, shoved her to the ground, attempted to rape her, the website said.
Officers found the suspect nearby, 37-year-old Nolberto Sanchez Hernandez, and charged him with attempted rape, robbery and malicious wounding. His court date was set for Nov. 16, NBC4 Washington said.

Woodbridge Man Assaults Woman, Then Law Enforcement Officer: Police
A Woodbridge man was arrested for brutally assaulting a woman in his home, before assaulting an officer at the scene, as well, police said.On September 13, at around 11 p.m., officers responded to the Harbor Point West Condominiums, where they discovered a domestic assault suspect, Kenneth Johnson Jr., according to the Prince William County Police Department.
