MTA Police Seeking Public’s Help Identifying Man Fatally Struck By Lirr Train The MTA Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a man struck and killed by a train on Long Island last summer. The incident began around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, July 7, 2019, when the man entered the Baldwin Long Island Rail Road station, said the MTA Police. Kay Bernese-Lopez, 20, of Hempstead, was killed about 6 a.m., Saturday, June 1, while walking with two other women near the tracks in Freeport, said an LIRR spokesman.
