𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: A Jersey City driver who authorities said was doing over 100 miles an hour before a head-on crash on a treacherous stretch of road that killed three people was indicted on major charges. Ziyang Wang, 23, was behind the wheel of a BMW X5 M50i that collided with a Kia Amanti after it came around a blind curve on the wrong side of Paterson Plank Road, just south of Congress Street, on Oct. 16, 2023, authorities said at the time. Jersey City Man Sexually Assaulted 9-Year-Old Multiple Times: Prosecutors
A 28-year-old Jersey City man was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 25 and charged with sexually assaulting a then-9-year-old girl in 2019, authorities said. Nestor Moreno sexually assaulted the girl multiple times, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said. He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance, Suarez said.

No-Show Jersey City Contractors Conned Victims Out Of $200K: Prosecutor
Three Hudson and Bergen County residents were arrested and charged this week after they were paid $200,000 to do contract work they never performed, authorities said. Car Wash Attendant From Hudson Charged With Sexually Assaulting Bergen Pre-Teen
A Union City car wash attendant sexually assaulted a pre-teen in Fairview multiple times, authorities charged. Cesar Ixcoy-Perez, 35, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 19, and charged with assaulting the victim twice in November 2020, jail records show. A 21-year-old Newark woman hoping to avoid an extended federal prison sentence admitted participating in a violent robbery spree in Jersey City last month in which a fast-food clerk was shot in the chest. Siobhan Chandler, was with ex-con Rodney Williams when he robbed a gas station and store at gunpoint and then shot a restaurant clerk during a third holdup the night of Nov. 14. Teenager Dies After Arriving At Jersey City Hospital With Gunshot Wound: Prosecutors
An 18-year-old teenage boy was pronounced dead on Monday, Dec. 18 after he was dropped off at a Jersey City hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities said. At 2:20 p.m., the boy arrived at Jersey City Medical Center in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the upper body, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said. He was pronounced dead shortly before 4 p.m., prosecutors said. The case is being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department.

18-Year-Old Stabbed Dead In Jersey City
An 18-year-old was stabbed dead Friday night, Dec. 15 in Jersey City, authorities said. Naseer Munroe was found with a stab wound to the torso on Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street, around 8:55 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A man found dead in the Hackensack River on Saturday, Dec. 9, died after being shot in the upper body, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Dive teams and fire departments from across North Jersey responded to the Hackensack River along the eastern spur of the New Jersey Turnpike and found the man just after 5:30 p.m., Suarez said. Jersey City 9-1-1 Dispatcher Used Job To Access Personal Info: Prosecutor
A 58-year-old Jersey City 9-1-1 dispatcher was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and charged with unlawfully obtaining records and personal information, authorities said. In July, Rose Davis used her position as a telecommunications supervisor to access the information that she was not authorized to keep, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The arrest followed an investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Investigations Unit. Davis was charged with computer criminal activity and was released pending her first court appearance next month, Suarez said.
