Man Shoots 21-Year-Old Chasing Him In Huntington, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested after police say he shot a 21-year-old man who was chasing him over New Year’s weekend.
The shooting happened around 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, on Wall Street in Huntington, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
John Rech, 71, of Huntington, fired a gun at the younger man during the encounter, police said.
The victim, a 21-year-old from Fort Salonga, was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
