A 39-year-old woman visiting the area died after falling 70 feet off a cliff at a state park in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County around 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, at Minnewaska State Park in the town of Rochester. A hiker had to be flown out of a state park in the Hudson Valley after falling 25 feet off a cliff, officials announced. The incident happened in Orange County on Sunday, Dec. 24 around 7:15 p.m., when a hiker fell off a cliff at Harriman State Park in Woodbury, according to the town's fire department.
