Suspect Nabbed After Demanding Cash, Keys From Victim On Residential Long Island Roadway A Long Island man who was arrested after he allegedly attempted to rob another man and threatened them with a knife, is recovering after being shot by a Good Samaritan. The incident took place on Saturday, March 6, around 5:25 a.m. in Massapequa, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, a 56-year-old man was in front of 95 Unqua Road when Aidan Dooher, 21, of 120 Suffolk Road, approached him and demanded the victim’s cash and keys. Man Suffers Possible Hypothermia After Falling Off Long Island Dock Into Canal Waters Police and a Good Samaritan rescued a Long Island man who fell off a dock into the water. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31, on Clubhouse Road in Merrick, said Nassau County Police. One Extricated After Car Overturns At Corner Of Routes 9A, 119 This story has been updated. Traffic was backed up following a two-vehicle crash at the corner of Route 9A and Route 119 in Elmsford. The incident took place around 9:15 a.m. Thursday when one vehicle hit another, sending it flying on its roof. One driver was able to get out of the car, but the woman in the flipped vehicle was cut out of her seatbelt by a Good Samaritan and pulled away. She was transported to the hospital for treatment, said the woman's husband.  The cause of the crash is under investigation.
