A beloved Philadelphia area mom died after a six-and-a-half-month battle with cancer, her family said. She was 61.
Penny Jo Weigand, of Bristol, died on Friday, April 1, her obituary says. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in early September 2021, and had been fighting it ever since, according to a GoFundMe launched for her medical and funeral expenses.
The page had raised over $500 as of Friday, April 8.

Phillipsburg native and Bangor High School graduate Ross Allen Heyer, Jr. died Oct. 18 at the age of 35.
A resident of East Bangor, Heyer graduated from Bangor High School in 2004, his obituary says.
Heyer served in the U.S. Army and enrolled in online college classes after getting medically discharged, his memorial says.

Montgomery County native Jacob Cossel died on June 7 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was 22.
Born in King of Prussia, Cossel graduated from Upper Merion High School in 2017, according to his obituary.
He was remembered as a "kind-hearted, skill with his hands, entrepreneurial young man; who would do anything for family or friends," his obit says.
He is survived by Terrance and Rebecca (Barnes) Cossel, his brother, Joshua A. Cossel; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and lifelong friend Katie.

Community Rallies Raising $37K For Families Of 2 Fatal Crash Victims In Gettysburg
A crash in Adams County claimed two lives on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania State police.
Mike Green, 32, of Thomasville and Karigen Emig, 22, of Gettysburg, died on impact in the crash just before 10 p.m., according to the Adams County Coroner.
Green was driving his Suzuki GSX 13000R at a high speed while heading east on Route 30, state police say.
Emig was driving her Kia Forte, making a left turn out of the parking lot near C&D Bar and Grill by Stanley Drive.
