A months-long investigation led to the arrest of a fugitive and the seizure of narcotics during a raid in Orange County, police said.
Michael Darrigo, 54, of Cornwall, was arrested following a search of his home on Route 9W in Cornwall on Tuesday, March 17, the New Windsor Police Department announced on Wednesday, March 18.
The operation was the result of a multi-month fugitive and narcotics investigation, police said.
During the search, the New Windsor Police K-9 Unit helped, and K-9 Duke alerted officers to the presence of drugs.

A drug trafficker who tried to flee police before crashing a car loaded with fentanyl, cocaine, and a stolen handgun will spend even more time behind bars, authorities announced.
Christopher Purvis, 29, was sentenced to 60 months in prison, according to the US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. The sentence was announced on Wednesday, March 11. It will run consecutive to the federal and state sentences he is already serving.
