A councilwoman from Newark, DE with deep ties to Pennsylvania has been charged with driving under the influence, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the area of the 100 block of Madison Drive in Newark around 11:58 p.m. on Friday, March 28, for a report of a vehicle crash involving several parked vehicles, according to a statement from the Newark Police Department.
Responding officers found that a vehicle had struck four unoccupied, parked cars in the area, police said. The driver was identified as Dwendolyn Creecy, 54, of Newark, who was still on scene, authorities said.
