A 21-year-old man from Maywood has died after crashing his electric dirt bike in Edgewater, police said.
Johnathan Torres died from his injuries on Tuesday, July 15, following a crash that occurred around 3:37 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, according to a press release from Edgewater Police Chief Donald Martin.
Police were called to the area of 725 River Road, across from the SoJo Spa Club, for a report of a motorcycle crash.

Bergen County resident Nelson Morales, age 45, of Cliffside Park, was arrested on Tuesday morning, July 1, following an armed robbery last week in Garnerville, the Haverstraw Police Department announced.
Police said the robbery happened around 9:15 p.m. at a Garnerville business on Wednesday, June 25. Officers quickly responded to the scene and began investigating.

The first arrest was made on Saturday, Dec. 21, when members of the team identified 51-year-old Randolph R. Smith of Far Rockaway, NY, who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in New York City, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Danny Bacher, a renowned jazz musician and Cliffside Park resident, died at the age of 48, the Jazz Loft in Stony Brook announced. The cause was a heart attack, the Jazz Loft said.
A native of Wayne, Bacher was a singer, saxophonist, dancer and composer, who was also an author- having recently published a book about his collection of Laurel and Hardy merchandise, the Jazz Loft said.
A graduate of Wayne Hills High School, Bacher attended New Jersey City University, according to his Facebook. At the time of his death, he was working on a project about Harry Nilsson, the Jazz Loft said.
