A New Jersey Coast Guardsman is being honored after saving the life of a seriously injured crash victim while off duty, officials said. Yeoman Second Class Cody Dmochowski, a Brick native, sprang into action after witnessing a motorcycle crash that left a victim thrown into a wooded area, the Coast Guard said. “Immediately after witnessing the crash, Dmochowski put his own safety at risk and rushed to the scene,” according to the release.
