Two New Jersey parents were arrested and charged after they left their kids- including a 1-year-old- home alone in a beach town over Memorial Day Weekend, authorities said.
Felix Rodriguez, 43 and Lydia Monterrosa, 38, of Jersey City, left two children, ages 8 and 1, at a home in Brigantine on Sunday, May 25, Brigantine police said.
At 8:45 p.m., police were flagged down and alerted to the two children in the home on the 4900 block of Harbor Beach Boulevard, officers said.

Four men and two teens were arrested in Atlantic City, five of whom were accused of selling heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, authorities said.
The six suspects were taken into custody during "an operation targeting areas of concern." The Atlantic City Police Department announced the arrests in a news release on Wednesday, May 22.

An Atlantic County teen was accused of driving drunk, speeding through stop signs, and crashing into the side of a business, authorities said.
The 17-year-old from Hammonton was arrested on Tuesday, Apr. 2, the Brigantine Police Department said in a news release. The teen was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, eluding police, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and nine traffic summonses.
