Trio Killed In Parkway Crash Mourned By Loved Ones
Condolences were pouring in Tuesday, Aug. 8 for the three victims killed in last weekend's crash on the Garden State Parkway. Sabrina Kontos, 24, of Ocean Grove, Dion Bullock, 27, of Asbury Park, and Omar Williams, 28, of Eatontown, all died in the 9:50 p.m. accident in Port Republic (Atlantic County) Sunday, Aug. 6, New Jersey State Police said. Two fugitives from Monmouth County have been arrested by U.S. Marshals in a shooting, authorities said. Michael O’ Rourke, 31, of Asbury Park, has been charged with first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree attempted murder and weapons offenses, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Three people were killed in a crash when their car left the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:52 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 on the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 44.6 in Port Republic in Atlantic County, according to New Jersey State Police. Authorities Seek Witnesses To Fatal Shooting On Jersey Shore
Authorities are seeking witnesses to a fatal shooting last summer in Asbury Park. On July 28, 2022, shortly before 7:30 p.m., police responded to gunfire on the 1600 block of Sewall Avenue. Police found 33-year-old Kyshon Washington-Walker of Shrewsbury with multiple gunshot injuries, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. One person died and two others were wounded in a Monmouth County shooting Monday night, July 3, authorities said. Asbury Park officers found three shooting victims around 10:30 p.m. at the Asbury Park Gardens apartments on Atlantic Avenue, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.
