An Amber Alert was issued by police in New York after a 7-year-old girl was reported missing overnight while last being seen with a family member in New York City. The NYPD 110th Precinct and New York State Police issued the alert on Wednesday, Aug. 18 for Jaila Puello, who was last seen in Queens after being last seen with 40-year-old Jean Puello. Jaila Puello was described as being approximately 4-foot-1 weighing 60 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. The baby girl, Chinna Payne, was unharmed, initial police reports say. Damion Payne, 27, was accused of abducting the girl at gunpoint, according to a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) alert issued at 2:37 p.m. He then fled in a white Nissan Altima with Virginia plates, police said. Payne was reportedly located on South Munn Avenue, in East Orange.

Car Stolen From CT Gas Station Had Two Kids In Backseat, Police Say
Police in Connecticut are searching for thieves who stole a car at a gas station with two children inside. The incident took place in New Haven County around 11:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 2, when the Wolcott Police Department received a 911 call about a car that had just been stolen from the Cumberland Farms, 1655 Meriden Road, with a 5-year-old child inside.
