A man who prompted an Amber Alert in Philadelphia last week involving his 3-year-old son was charged with killing the boy's mother and grandmother, authorities announced Friday.

A 2-year-old Philadelphia boy was found safe, while his father was in custody following an Amber Alert issued Monday afternoon, reports say.
Byron McDonald, II, 28, abducted his son of the same name around 1:30 p.m. Friday from the 2500 block of North Bancroft Street, state police said.
Investigators later discovered McDonald II, and his son were staying at the Aloft Philadelphia Airport Hotel along the 4300 block of Island Avenue where a barricade situation was declared, NBC Philadelphia reports.

Teenage New Hampshire Kidnapping Suspect Nabbed In Connecticut
A teen has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping two juveniles girls from their home.
Cameron Snody, age 19, of Forth Worth, Texas, was arrested on Friday, March 19, by Connecticut State Police in Hartford, after troopers received an Amber Alert out of Swanzey, New Hampshire.
According to police, it was reported that Snody traveled to Swanzey, in Chesire County, in order to meet the two juveniles ages 12 and 17.
Snody then stole a vehicle described as a 2006 Saturn Ion, and fled with the girls, state police said.

Gustavo Oliveira, 9, who has last been seen on Tallow Wood Drive in Clifton Park at around 1 a.m. Friday, May 8, has been located and is safe, state police announced late Friday night.
The suspect, Nivaldo P. Oliveira, 41, was taken into custody.
