A former public works employee has been sentenced for his role in a hit-run crash that killed a beloved 16-year-old boy in Westchester. Former Yonkers Public Works Department worker Stephen Dolan, age 46, was sentenced on Thursday, Dec. 14 to one and a half to four and a half years in prison for vehicular manslaughter in connection with an August 2022 crash that killed 16-year-old Christopher Jack “CJ” Hackett of Yonkers, according to a report by ABC News. Late Night Blaze Engulfs Former Church In Yonkers
A former church in Westchester was heavily damaged following a late-night blaze that prompted a major response from fire crews and road closures. The incident began on Tuesday, Dec. 12 around 3 a.m., when a fire broke out in the rectory of a former church in Yonkers on the corner of Buckingham Road and Lockwood Avenue, according to ABC News. After months of investigating embattled New York Rep. George Santos, the House Ethics Committee won’t recommend any punishment for the freshman lawmaker, ABC News reports. The mother of the 6-year-old Virginia boy who shot his first grade teacher has surrendered to authorities, but was released after posting $5,000 bond.
