Authorities in Delaware County have charged a 17-year-old boy as an adult in a deadly shooting that happened last year in Chester. The juvenile was arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with criminal homicide and related offenses for the August 2021 shooting that left 18-year-old Samad Montgomery dead, according to the City of Chester Police Department. Teen Boy Dead, 2 Others Hospitalized After Near-Drowning At NJ Beach
A 17-year-old boy died and two other victims his age were hospitalized after being pulled from the waters of a New Jersey beach Saturday, authorities say. Lifeguards ran into the waters of the Sandy Hook Unit of the Gateway National Recreation Area's Beach B to rescue the trio around 4:30 p.m., according to the National Parks Service. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene while the two other teens -- both 17, a boy and a girl -- were taken to Monmouth Medical Center in unknown condition.

State Police: Teen Boy's Suicide Closes Route 322 In Downington
The death of a 17-year-old boy closed Route 322 Monday in Downington (Chester County), Pennsylvania State Police said. PA State Trooper Kevin Kochka told Daily Voice the boy committed suicide. Sources with direct knowledge of the incident told Daily Voice that the boy jumped off the bridge and died. A 17-year-old boy from Atlantic City was wounded in a shooting, authorities said. Atlantic City police were called to the 100 north block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 1:53 a.m. on Wednesday by a ShotSpotter audio gunshot detection alert, the department announced on Facebook. A female pedestrian was struck on a Wyckoff sidewalk by an out-of-control vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy, authorities said.
