Lewisboro Library Hosts Pop Art Workshop SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Lewisboro Library is holding its “Pop Culture POP Art” workshop on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m. The event, for students in grades six and up, will give participants the chance to make a personalized three-dimensional work of art using canvas, recycled comic books and magazines, wood letters and art supplies. Wanaque Students Brighten Holidays For Children At Pediatric Center WANAQUE, N.J. -- Middle school students from Haskell and Wanaque schools recently spread some holiday cheer at the Wanaque Center for Pediatrics. With a load of presents, the students, members of the National Junior Honor Society, visited with medically fragile children at the facility. The students paid for the gifts themselves, with money they raised through popcorn and bagel sales.

City Of Danbury To Pick Up Discarded Christmas Trees DANBURY, Conn. -- The Highway Department will begin picking up discarded Christmas trees on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Pick-up will continue until Friday, Jan. 29, weather permitting. Residents must place their trees curbside for pick-up. All items, including decorations, tinsel, lights and tree stands, must be removed from the trees. Artificial trees will not be included in the pick-up service.
