Longtime Stratford Library Leaders Win State Honors STRATFORD, Conn. — The Association of Connection Library Boards recognized two Stratford Library trustees for their significant contributions over the years. The association honored Constantine “Gus” Chagares and Joseph Janucik for their decades-long service. Both men have served the Stratford Library Board as assistant treasurer, vice president and president. Janucik has also spent many years on the Buildings & Grounds Committee and Chagares has been chairperson of the Fundraising Committee and a member of both the Finance Committee and the Grievance and Negotiations Committee.

Fairfield Cares is offering the free class “Community Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone/Narcan Training” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20 at the Fairfield Regional Fire School, 205 One Rod Highway. The grant from the charitable giving arm of People’s United Bank supports the zoo’s program.
