Bridgeport Woman Charged With Shoplifting Beer In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport woman was arrested on larceny charges Saturday, charged with stealing beer and assorted household supplies from the Stop & Shop on Villa Avenue in Fairfield, police said. Desiree Alicea, 32, of Pennsylvania Avenue, was seen leaving the store with beer, tissues, paper towels, plates and garbage bags that she did not purchase, police said. Candy Theft Leads To Bridgeport Man's Arrest In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested on larceny charges Saturday in connection with the August theft of $126 worth of chocolate from the Stop & Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff in Fairfield, police said. Samuel Wargo-Cummings, 37, of Myron Avenue, was arrested on a warrant and charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, after he was arrested in Trumbull on similar charges last weekend. Police: Wrong-Way Driver Speeding At 80 MPH Before Crash In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A wrong-way driver speeding at an estimated 80 mph slammed into a pickup truck near the traffic circle at 1296 Kings Highway Cutoff on Sunday evening, Fairfield police said.
