Larisa was an active member of the Clarkstown Reformed Church and of the student advisory board for Sen. David Carlucci. She was also an athlete, playing softball in the New City Softball League and for Felix Festa Middle School, as well as basketball for St. Francis of Assisi CYO.  When Frank’s Scoutmaster introduced the idea of this project, he thought it would help the community heal during …

Harrison Consults Sculptors To Repair Broken Monument At Ma Riis Park HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison’s military statue of the World War I doughboy soldier fell from its concrete base in Ma Riis Park and broke into numerous fragments.Cracks and physical wear and tear plagued the five-foot tall sculpture and strong winds recently contributed to its collapse.  The Town/Village of Harrison is currently in the process of determining the best way to replace the fallen doughboy.
