Kids Summer Hikes Offered August Tuesdays At Palisades Park
ALPINE, N.J. -- Summer morning hikes are offered to kids in August by the staff at the historic Kearney House, Palisades Interstate Park, Alpine, N.J.
These hikes are offered Tuesday mornings, Aug. 9, 16, and 23 — with a rain date or bonus hike on Aug. 30 — and will be led by the staff of the Kearney House.
The hikes, to be held “drizzle or shine,” are free with no advance registration required.
Each hike will cover three miles of fairly easy trails and run 10 a.m. to noon.

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- A bank robber has been on the loose since midday Sunday, when he allegedly passed a note to a teller demanding cash at TD Bank in Fishkill, according to police.New York State Police at Wappingers and Fishkill police are investigating the 12:18 p.m. robbery at the 18 Westage Drive bank, where, after demanding money from the teller, the suspect fled south on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Food Truck Festival Rolls Into Ho-Ho-Kus Saturday
HO-HO-KUS, N.J. -- The Hermitage Food Truck Festival, a fundraiser, is coming to a historic site Saturday, July 23, in Ho-Ho-Kus.An array of dining choices will be available at about a dozen food trucks from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
They include Taxi Cab Burger, Toy's Traveling Trattoria, Empanada Lady, Hola Paella, Kona Ice, Luke's Lobster, Flying Pie Guy, The Cow and The Curd, Thai Elephant, Chicken Wings and Things, and Polkadot Cupcake.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- The New Jersey Ballet's "Nutcracker" Dec. 3 is among many highlights of the upcoming Classical Arts Series at BergenPAC in Englewood.
