Alternate Side Parking A Must In Peekskill To Clear Snow, Ice
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The suspension of alternate side of the street parking has been lifted and winter parking regulations are now in effect in Peekskill. The suspension came Sunday after city officials discussed Monday's anticipated snow and sleet, according to an announcement. The City has contracted with LQD WiFi LLC, a provider of integrated networks of community technology hubs, to develop the first-ever "Palo"WiFi kiosk program for the city. Metro-North Probes Missing Funds From Alcohol Sales At Grand Central
Alcohol and beer will not be sold on platforms at Grand Central Terminal amid a "missing funds" investigation by Metro-North, according to multiple reports.Money - amounts not specified - reportedly was discovered missing from the beverage sales off of bar carts at platform entrances, lohud said, citing officials. Eighteen commissary carts and two commissary counters were closed as of Dec. 7, the report said. Three staff members of Metro-North are "out of service" pending the investigation, said the report. John Jay Athletes, Friends Since Kindergarten, Commit To College Teams
CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Four John Jay High School seniors have just signed letters of intent to play NCAA college sports. The athletes have been friends since they met in kindergarten at Lewisboro Elementary School. They are: Tristen Novak (women's lacrosse, Merrimack College); Jackson Rieger (men's lacrosse, Binghamton); Conor Melbourne (wrestling, Princeton); and Ray Cotto (wrestling, Bucknell). All four have signed their NCAA Letters of Intent to play in college and all four have been friends since Kindergarten at Lewisboro Elementary School.
