Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Three Cars Collide In South Jersey: Police A chain-reaction collision occurred in Pleasantville, authorities said. On Monday, May 23, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to a three-car, motor vehicle crash on the 200 Block of East Delilah Road. The vehicles were traveling westbound on East Delilah Road approaching the intersection of Atlantic Avenue.  As the vehicles slowed due to heavy traffic, a rear-end collision occurred causing a chain reaction, police said. Police ID Bicyclist Struck, Killed In Central Jersey A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Central Jersey, authorities said. Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas, 64, of South River, was struck shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 on Old Bridge Turnpike at Milltown Road in East Brunswick, police said. Car Strikes Tree Near Garden State Parkway Service Area: Njsp A car crashed into a tree along the Garden State Parkway after a collision with another car, authorities said. The crash occurred at 12:46 p.m. Monday, May 23 on the parkway northbound at milepost 75.9 in Lacey Township, a New Jersey State Police spokesman said.  Two vehicles were involved in a collision in near the service area and one vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree, he said. Man, 29, Arrested In Fatal Shooting Caught On Video In Central Jersey: Prosecutor A 29-year-old man from Central Jersey has surrendered to police in the fatal daytime shooting of another man in his car last week.  Yhakeem Kornegay, 29, of Carteret turned himself in on Sunday, May 22, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden. Kornegay was charged with murder, attempted murder and weapons charges, they said. Malik Pandy, 27, of Carteret was killed in the shooting.
