Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Trenton Psych Hospital Patient Wanders Off: Police Police are on the lookout for a Trenton Psychiatric Hospital patient who wandered off the grounds. Ewing police said they were notified by New Jersey Human Services Police about the missing person. Joseph Michalski, 55, left in an unknown direction from his residential unit at the hospital, police said. 1 Killed, 3 Hurt In Central Jersey Crash One person was killed and three others hurt in a Central Jersey crash, authorities said.  The crash occurred at about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 28 on Route 130 near Washington Place, North Brunswick police said. Beware: Black Bear Sighted On Jersey Shore Police in Stafford Township issued an alert that a black bear had been sighted on the Jersey Shore. The black bear has been located in the wooded area on Route 9 in Manahawkin, police said early Wednesday afternoon, June 29. He was last seen heading north in the area of Cedar Bridge Road across from Southern Regional High School.  "Please stay away from the area and do not attempt to approach the bear," police said. Injuries Reported In NJ Turnpike Tractor-Trailer Crash There was a tractor-trailer crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in South Jersey, authorities said.  The crash occurred at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 southbound near milepost 1.1 in Carneys Point Township. Robbery, Gunfire Reported In South Jersey: Police Police in South Jersey responded to a robbery with gunfire, authorities said. On Tuesday, June 28, at approximately 5:31 p.m., Gloucester Township police responded to the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township for a report of a robbery.  Police heard multiple gunshots while three suspects tried to flee from the area.
