Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Authorities ID 2 Passengers Killed In NJ Turnpike Bus Accident Authorities have identified the two people killed in the double-decker Megabus overturn on the NJ Turnpike Tuesday, Aug. 9, authorities said. Cheryl Johnson, 59, of Bronx, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene, while Cecilia Kiyanitza, 66, of Woodbury, N.J. was airlifted to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.  The bus, carrying about 20 passengers, was heading south when it collided with a pickup truck on the outer roadway at milepost 93.1 in Woodbridge, New Jersey State Police said. Philadelphia Man Arrested With Loaded Handgun In Atlantic City: Police A 20-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested with a loaded handgun in Atlantic City, authorities said. Rahmiere Shaw-Floyd was with a group of others when police thought they observed him with a gun. Shaw-Floyd exited the boardwalk and went onto the beach at New York Avenue where he was stopped by the responding officers. Police said they located a loaded handgun in Shaw-Floyd’s waistband at which time he was taken into custody without incident.
