Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Child Struck By Hit-Run Pickup Near South Jersey School Bellmawr police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred before school on Monday, Oct. 3. A 9-year-old child was struck near E.M. Burke School just prior to the start of school, Bellmawr police said. The pickup shown above immediately fled the scene and the child was taken to an area hospital where she was seen and released with minor injuries, police said. The truck has a broken rear window and a damaged front bumper. Anyone who has information is asked to contact Bellmawr Police at 856-931-2120.

Expect Delays With This Jersey Shore Bridge Project Expect delays over the next few weeks if you travel Route 37 westbound over the Tunney Bridge in Toms River. Bridge deck repairs are planned for Mondays through Thursdays for several weeks, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. NJDOT’s contractor, PKF Mark III, Inc., is scheduled to close one lane on the Route 37 westbound Tunney Bridge for repairs. Be Prepared For Detours With This Garden State Parkway Ramp Project If you take Route 36 to the Garden Stae Parkway southbound, you're in for some detours during the next eight months. That's the word from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which is continuing a $17 million bridge rehabilitation project in Tinton Falls. The project consists of four work areas. To complete each work area, a full closure of that ramp will be required and traffic will be detoured to either Interchanges 102 or 109. He last spoke with a family member on Thursday, Sept. 29.  He is described as being 5'-4" tall and 200 pounds. He has brown eyes, long brown hair in the back and side, and bald on top. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas jacket, blue scarf, and an Eagles hat.
