Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

A center spokeswoman said whale experts were in Manasquan on Tuesday, Feb. 14. A necropsy is typically carried out to determine the mammal's cause of death, and center officials assist in the whate's removal/burial. The dead whale was first spotted by Manasquan residents on Monday.

The girl's school PTA identified the fourth-grader as Mansirat Kaur. The fire occurred at 11:14 p.m. on Feb. 7 on Shiloh Pike in Hopewell Township, according to New Jersey State Police. A 46-year-old man from Middlesex County allegedly robbed a bank in Somerset County and then used the same taxi cab to flee. Police located the cab in North Brunswick and arrested Ivan M. Police Investigate Crash In Middletown Middletown police were investigating a crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 at Main Street and Grace Avenue, Middletown police said. One driver had a complaint of pain and refused transport to a medical facility.  The other driver and her two children sustained minor injuries and were transported to Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank for treatment, police said.
