Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Yorktown Resident Killed In Atlantic City Crash A Northern Westchester resident who was a passenger in a taxicab was killed in a weekend crash in Atlantic City, authorities said. The crash happened on Sunday, April 30, at approximately 3:40 a.m. at the intersection of Arctic and North Missouri avenues. Park Ranger Billed Mercer County 298 Hours Of Work While At Home: Prosecutor A park ranger from Mercer County spent about 298 hours at home when he said he was at work, a complaint shows. James J. Romano III falsified 64 patrol logs between July 27, 2002, and Jan. 17, 2023, which totaled 298.5 hours and $5,728 in stolen wages, according to the criminal complaint filed by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. Romano III, 34, of Hamilton, was charged in March with official misconduct, tampering with public records and theft by deception, according to the complaint.

Serious Crash, Tractor-Trailer Fire Reported In Central Jersey There was a serious crash in Central Jersey, authorities said. A tractor-trailer also was reported on fire at the location of the crash, they said. The crash occurred at about 12:40 p.m. on Monday, May 1 on Route 440 in Woodbridge, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
