Crowle, a linebacker, will attend Yale University. Fox, a defensive lineman, will attend Fordham. Westport Teen Creates Phone App To Predict School Snow Closures WESTPORT, Conn. – A Staples High School junior has developed an app for smartphones that predicts when schools in Fairfield County will close due to bad weather, according to a Westport News article. Scott Pecoriello, 17, said the app, “Know Snow,” is 84 percent accurate at predicting school cancellations. The app is available for free in Apple’s App Store. Report: New Canaan Man Accused Of Holding Knife At Wife NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A New Canaan man was arrested after he was accused of holding a knife against his wife, according to a Patch.com report. Greg Peck, 42, of Park Street, was also accused of threatening his wife in another confrontation, according to the report. Peck was charged with disorderly conduct in the threatening case. He was charged with reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening, first-degree unlawful restraint and interfering with a 911 call after the alleged knife incident. Weston High Football Coach Moves To League Rival WESTON, Conn. – The Weston High School football coach stepped down to accept the same position at Masuk High School in Monroe, it was announced Tuesday. Joe Lato had coached at Weston for eight years and compiled a 35-49 record. Lato’s best season came in 2012, when the Trojans went 9-3 and advanced to the Class M state tournament. Judge Robin Pavia decided there was enough evidence to charge Emanuel Harris, 17, with the murder of Luan Pitol, also 17, the report said.
