First Tiger Dash 5k For CT Challenge Comes To Bridgeport Sunday BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The first Tiger Dash 5K race will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7, in Bridgeport.  The race begins at 12:30 p.m. at Webster Bank Arena and will go through Seaside Park. Check in and on-site registration is at 10:30 a.m. The event is hosted by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and will benefit the CT Challenge. She was 89 years old. Born on Oct. 12, 1925 in Pontiac, Mich., to Albert and Elinor McGowan Doherty, Sister Elinor entered the Congregation of Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic at Valley Park, Mo., on Oct. 30, 1947, from Our Lady of Refuge Parish, Orchard Lake, Mich.  At her reception, she was given the Religious name of Sister Rose Andrew.
