A New York woman was drunk when she picked her child up from summer camp and drove home, and she is now facing charges under Leandra’s Law, police said.
Farrell Ryan, 45, of Slingerlands, arrived at a camp in Guilderland around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 to scoop her child, the Guilderland Police Department said.
A witness reported that Ryan appeared to be drunk and left the camp in a vehicle, according to authorities. Cops located the vehicle at the intersection of Western Avenue and Norman Avenue, police said.

Jun Wang, 64, was sentenced to five years and 10 months behind bars on Tuesday, July 7 in Albany federal court, the Justice Department said.
