A Long Island woman took more than $50,000 in food stamps while purchasing three luxury cars for her family, authorities said Tuesday, July 28.
Tesean King, 31, was charged with grand larceny, welfare fraud, and offering false instruments, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
King, of Westbury, purchased three BMWs for herself, her husband, and their two kids following a 2022 civil settlement, prosecutors said.

Christopher Selig, 46, and Amy Noonan, 48, both of Cohoes, were booked following the altercation Wednesday, July 22 at Emma Jayne’s Restaurant in Halfmoon, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
Deputies responded to a disturbance call at the restaurant around 10 p.m. and attempted to place Selig in custody, authorities said.

A Capital Region woman pleaded guilty Monday, July 27 in a deadly drunken car crash last year, authorities said.
Morgan Lange, 34, of Glenville, copped to second-degree vehicular manslaughter and evidence tampering in the death of Joshua Soden on Sept. 8, 2025, the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office said.
Lange was driving with a 0.12 BAC outside Bentley’s Tavern in Ballston Spa when she struck Soden, 30, pinning him under her vehicle, investigators said. She then attempted to dispose of an open alcoholic beverage in the car, according to authorities.
