Waterbury Shooting Suspect Caught After Multi-State Manhunt A man accused of shooting two people in Waterbury has been captured following a coordinated effort between Connecticut and Pennsylvania law enforcement. Xavier Bishop was arrested on Tuesday, Aug 26, in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, by US Marshals working with Waterbury Police’s Major Crimes Unit and Fugitive Task Force, as well as the Carbondale Police Department in Pennsylvania, officials announced Friday.  Bishop is facing multiple felony charges, including criminal use of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and assault in the first degree. Woman Severely Burned In Killingly House Fire Dies 2 Weeks After Blaze The 75-year-old woman who was seriously injured in a Connecticut house fire earlier this month has died, officials announced.  Kathy Samuelson was severely burned in a house fire on Hartford Pike in Killingly on Aug. 7, Connecticut State Police said.  Firefighters were called to the home around 1:30 p.m. and found Samuelson inside. Paramedics airlifted her to a burn center, but doctors were unable to save her.
