Officers are asking for the public's help find them.  The girl told police that she got off her school bus on High Street near Bellevue Avenue around 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, when a small, black SUV pulled up beside her. The driver cracked the window slightly and asked, "Do you need a ride?"  The girl could not see the driver's face. 16-Year-Old Hit By Car Near High School In Waterbury A 16-year-old was struck by a car on Thursday morning, Dec. 18, in Waterbury, authorities said.  The student was hit near Kennedy High School on Highland Avenue, but it's unclear if they were a student of the school.  The teen's injuries are serious, but non-life-threatening, Mayor Paul Pernerewski Jr. told WNTH. Police closed Highland Avenue from Sullivan Street to Acra Road for a time as they investigated the crash.  The driver remained at the scene.  Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
