Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Nutley Fraud Victim Gets At Least Four Bad Checks From Same Person: Police An Uber driver ended up getting cheated out of thousands of dollars by an acquaintance who wrote a series of bad checks, police in Nutley said.  The driver told police Tuesday the person requested a ride to Indiana at an agreed-upon price of $850. When they returned, the driver was given a check for $4, 294 as payment. Bear Spotted In South Orange: Report Police in Maplewood issued an alert Friday afternoon that a bear had been spotted on Wyoming Avenue in neighboring South Orange.  The Village Green reported that the text went out around 12:22 p.m., adding that schools in the area had been advised to hold recess indoors. The public was asked to avoid contact with the animal and to call police if it's seen.  The sighting was reported in the general vicinity of South Mountain Reservation, where bears have been spotted in the past. Black bears have been seen in all 21 of the state's counties.

North Bergen Judge Accused Of Groping Woman A municipal court judge in North Bergen was arrested Thursday for grabbing a woman's breasts without her consent, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.  Nino Falcone, 78, is accused of groping the woman at his Bergenline Avenue law office Aug. 29. His relationship to the woman was not disclosed.  He was charged with criminal sexual contact and released. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 3.  A spokeswoman for the state Administrative Office of the Courts said Falcone has been suspended without pay pending an order by the state Supreme Court.
