A flight above one of the world’s most recognizable cities ended in disaster.
American singer and producer Oliver Tree was among six people killed Sunday, June 14, when two helicopters collided in mid-air over Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, according to multiple reports.
Tree, whose full name was Oliver Tree Nickell, was 32.
The crash happened over Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in western Rio de Janeiro, according to El País.
One of the helicopters crashed into a parking area with electric vehicles, sparking a fire that burned about 20 vehicles, El País reported.

Automated license plate readers are being used in parking lots at some major retailers, including Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Target, and Costco, according to multiple reports.

A new round of scattered thunderstorms is expected late Sunday afternoon, June 14, into Sunday night across parts of NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA, MD, and VA, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms will be tied to a strong cold front moving through the region.
Sunday will be warm ahead of the front, with highs ranging from the mid-80s to low 90s, the National Weather Service said.

Joseph Michael Uhl, 31, of Coram, was driving a 2004 Jeep SUV northbound on Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma, when he fell asleep and the vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree at approximately 3:08 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, according to Suffolk County Police.

New York State Police are investigating after a woman's body was discovered at a state park on the eastern tip of Long Island.
The investigation into the woman's death began on Thursday, June 11, at around 1:42 p.m., when troopers responded to Montauk Point East Overlook in Camp Hero State Park in Montauk following reports of a deceased person, New York State Police announced on Friday, June 12.
