Child Struck By Vehicle While On Bicycle In East Rutherford A child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in East Rutherford on Monday afternoon, June 8, police said. East Rutherford police responded to the area of Paterson Avenue and Oak Street at approximately 4:45 p.m. for a report of a crash involving a bicyclist, according to Capt. Jeff Yannacone. The juvenile was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with minor injuries, Yannacone said. The child was discharged from the hospital shortly after arriving, according to Yannacone. No charges will be filed in connection with the incident, police said.

Man Airlifted In Critical Condition After Falling From NJ Roof A 52-year-old man was critically injured after falling from the roof of a home in Linden on Monday morning, June 8, police said. Linden police and firefighters responded at approximately 9:35 a.m. to the 1200 block of Bergen Avenue following reports of a medical emergency, police said. When first responders arrived, they determined the man had fallen from the roof of a two-story home.
