White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been diagnosed with cancer, President Donald Trump announced Monday, March 16.
Wiles, 68, plans to remain in her role while undergoing treatment for early-stage breast cancer in the Washington area.
Trump described her prognosis as “excellent,” adding that she has an “outstanding team of doctors.”

An El Salvadorian man in the country illegally bit an ICE agent and injured another during a contentious traffic stop in Maryland, federal authorities say.
Santos Alvarenga-Rodriguez, 47, an illegal alien, made his initial court appearance on Wednesday, March 11, after attacking federal law enforcement officials during a stop earlier this year.
According to the criminal complaint, on Sunday, Jan. 18, ICE-ERO officers checked Alvarenga-Rodriguez's license plate, which showed that his driver's license was restricted in Maryland.
