Thunderbirds, Blue Angels Take Flight Over NJ (Photos, Videos)
A formation of U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew over New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut to salute first responders on the coronavirus frontlines Tuesday.

Westchester Native, Harrison High Class of '45, Korean Vet, John P. Witzel, 90
John P. Witzel of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 1.
John was born in Manhattan on Dec. 6, 1928 and later moved to Harrison. He attended Harrison High School, graduating in the class of 1945, and continued on to Columbia University where he graduated in 1949.
John served overseas during the Korean War and, upon return home, he worked for the Bendix Corporation and later in the family business, Witzel Brothers Inc. John was musically gifted and played the piano, organ and accordion.
John was predeceased by his parents, George M. Witzel and Lillian Beck…

Fdny Firefighter, Former Westchester Resident Killed In Afghanistan By Roadside Bomb
A U.S. Marine killed in Afghanistan by a roadside bomb on Monday, April 8 was a New York City firefighter and a former Westchester resident.
Christopher A. Slutman, 43, of Ladder Company 27 in the South Bronx, a 15-year veteran of the department, died as a result of injuries sustained while on active duty in Afghanistan, said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Slutman, who lived in Yonkers with his wife and three children for years, most recently lived in Wilmington, Delaware, and commuted to New York to work, according to News 4.

Suspect Indicted In West Nyack Murder Of Auto Dealer
A man who fled the state after brutally shooting and killing a West Nyack auto dealer has been indicted on one count of felony murder.
Eric Ross Jr., 24, of Wilmington, Delaware, was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the November 2018 murder, said Rockland County Acting District Attorney Kevin Gilleece.
“This defendant thought he could get away with murder," Gilleece said. "But, he was wrong. He will now be held accountable for the cold-blooded shooting of a local car dealer at his place of business.”

This Fairfield County City Ranks Among 50 'Most Stressful' In Nation
Two cities in Connecticut rank among the top 50 Most Stressed Cities in America, according to a new study by a financial website.
One is in Fairfield County: Bridgeport ranked 33rd.
The other is New Haven in New Haven County -- which ranked 41st based on an analysis that considered stress in four areas: the workplace, finances, family, and health and safety.
