A fugitive has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Virginia in connection with a double-shooting that left two men dead in their car in South Jersey, authorities said. A suspended New Jersey corrections officer who opened fire in a doctor's office when he couldn't book an appointment has been indicted for murder, authorities said. Bruce Gomola Jr., 52, was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. Homeless Man Indicted For Sexually Assaulting 2 Women At Knifepoint, Burlington Prosecutor Says
A 29-year-old homeless man has been indicted on charges of sexually assaulting two women last summer after threatening them at knifepoint, authorities said. A grand jury returned two separate indictments against Shawn Midgette, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. Both indictments charge him with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and several other assault and weapons charges, the prosecutor said. Central Jersey native and medical worker Kristina Iacono died Jan. 23 at the age of 30. Born in Willingboro, Iacono graduated from Delran High School before attending Lincoln Technical Institute, where she finished as a medical assistant, her obituary says.
