Trio Arrested Following Fight With Bats After Firewood Theft, Police Say Three people were arrested after one was caught allegedly stealing firewood which led to a fight between the group. The incident took place on around 3:56 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25 when Rolen Altamirano, 50 and Beatriz Altamirano, 42, both of Weston, became involved in a dispute with Leslie Philibert, 45, of Danbury, said Wilton Police Capt. Robert Cipolla. Weston Man Allegedly Crashes Truck Then Flees Scene, Reports It Stolen, Police Say A Weston man was arrested after allegedly telling police that his vehicle had been stolen following an accident. William Pilato, 39, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, following an investigation into a crash that took place around 9 p.m. in the area of Cannon Road, said the Wilton Police Department. According to police, when officers arrived on the scene of the crash they found that a Chevy Silverado truck had run off the roadway, struck two utility poles, and continued for about 30 yards until it came to a stop. Margaret (aka Maggie and Margie, depending on which circle of family and friends was in the room) was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lt. Colonel Morris H. “Steve” Broudy, in 2011. One Killed In Overnight Weston Crash One person was killed in a single-vehicle overnight crash in Weston. It happened just past midnight on Saturday, Oct. 26 on Route 53 near Michael's Way.  The driver, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
