Covid-19: Here's Latest Update On Number Of Orange County Deaths, Cases
There have been more than 100 newly reported novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and nine new deaths in Orange County, according to the Department of Health.
As of Thursday, April 16, there have been 5,964 COVID-19 cases throughout the county, up from 5,830 the day before. There have been 187 deaths ties to complications from the virus.
There are currently 236 confirmed COVID-19 patients in the hospital, with an additional 72 tests pending.

Storm With Gusty Winds Knocks Out Power To Thousands, Brings Down Trees In Rockland, Orange
Thousands are without power in Rockland and Orange counties as storms rolled through the region, bringing whipping winds of more than 70 mph that toppled tree limbs and downed power lines.
As of 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, Orange and Rockland Utilities was reporting that 5,258 of its 105,399 Orange County customers were without power, while 8,100 of their 118,770 Rockland customers were without power.
Central Hudson was reporting that 6,362 of its 52,477 Orange County customers were also left in the dark.

ID Released For 32-Year-Old Man Killed In Orange County Crash
A 32-year-old man killed during a two-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified.
Bergen County resident Joseph R. Farina, of Mahwah, was killed around 7:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, following the crash on School Road in the town of Monroe, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, Patrick J. Early, 67, of Warwick, was driving a 2013 Acura TL west on School Road when he was involved in a collision with a 1996 Toyota Avalon traveling east being operated by Farnia.
Farina was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Route 17A Crash
The person killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified.
Tom Walter, 28, of Warwick, was killed around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, on Route 17A near Durland Road, in Goshen, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta.
According to Arteta, Walter, who was the lone occupant, collided with a tree in a county-owned vehicle.
He was rushed to Orange Regional Center where he was pronounced dead, he added.
Walter worked as a public health technician with the Orange County Health Department, said Justin Rodriguez, a spokesman for Orange County.…
